How does the STORE protocol upgrade itself?

At a high-level, the upgrade process occurs in the following way:

  1. Judicial Branch submits proposal to the Executive Branch

  2. Proposal passes miner vote and is ratified by the Executive Branch

  3. Executive Branch has a specified timeline to implement the change

  4. Changes are built out by core developers who are part of the eBranch

  5. All nodes must upgrade to the new version of the network by a specified timeframe
